Herança cultural (re)interpretada ou a memória social e a instituição museu: releitura e reflexões

Resumo

Patrimônio musealizado e Memória Social, entrelaces da herança coletiva, são enfocados sob a perspectiva dos sistemas simbólicos. A simbolização, função de representação atribuída aos objetos materiais pelo campo da Cultura (sob a ótica de código e processo comunicacional), estabelece reconhecê-los como expressões oriundas das manifestações culturais (práticas e representações). Esta postura orienta o Museu a ler cada objeto como “fragmento do mundo”, determinando para as coleções museológicas o caráter de registro dos vestígios da Memória Social, também, atua com poderes (competência) sobre os mesmos em processos de construção, a (re) interpretação do real. Em contexto delicado onde, lado a lado, lembrança e esquecimento se fazem presentes, o Bem Cultural Objeto Museológico, Objeto-Mensagem, Objeto-Testemunho, Objeto-Signo Cultural, Objeto Referencial da Memória Social, assume sua distinção em meio aos objetos comuns e, também, sua identificação como Documento (Documentação Museológica), portanto, fonte de consulta para o conhecimento, através a Informação Cultural disseminada como mensagem especializada e própria dos Museus. New readings and reflections ABSTRACT Musealized heritage and social memory, both elements of collective heritage, are investigated from the perspective of symbolic systems. Through symbolization, which is the function of representation that is attributed to material objects by the field of culture (from the standpoint of communication codes and processes), they are acknowledged as expressions deriving from cultural manifestations (practices and representations). Based on this stance, museums interpret each object as a “fragment of the world”, which makes museum collections responsible for recording remnants of social memory, while also exerting power (competency) over them as they build up and (re)interpret reality. In a delicate context where memory and forgetting coexist side by side, the cultural asset museum object, the message object, the witness object, the cultural sign object and the reference of social memory object stand out in the midst of ordinary objects and are also identified as documents (museum documentation) and therefore a source of reference for knowledge, by means of the cultural information communicated as the specialized, specific message of museums.
