Abstract

This experience report seeks to explore counter-hegemonic proposals that can be woven in the museal space in the democratization of historical knowledge as well as in the conception of target audience that visits these spaces. In this sense, we selected as frame of reference, and case study, the Memorial Minas Gerais Vale (Belo Horizonte, MG), in which we analyzed its expography and the work that, from it, is developed by the Education Department. Thus, we will seek to unravel the way in which pedagogical proposals created by this Department, that is, the “Percursos” or “Eixos temáticos”, are, on the one hand, a mediation tool that tensions the space and the discourse established in it, and, on the other, a possibility of incorporating other voices in order to develop plural and participatory knowledge.
