Museums and the Society in Network
Abstract
The article discusses the concepts of Manuel Castells on the Information Age, the possibilities of collaborative networks in the field of museology. Breaking with the mere optimism present in many reviews, it also exposes the contradictions of the new reality of a globalized world, since the one hand controls spaces flow and use of information as a means of legitimizing power, including within the museum, until the construction of networks in addition to allowing the creation of new relationships, serve the consolidation of a collective work and reinterpretation of a heritage that keeping local scale amounts to the global. Therefore, one of the themes was the relationship between networks and ecomuseums. Key Words: Heritage. Museology. Network Society. Information Age.Downloads
