Patrimônio industrial: lugares de trabalho, lugares de memória / The industrial heritage: places of work, places of memory

Resumo

Partindo da idéia de que o patrimônio industrial é a expressão de processos produtivos e culturais que foram sendo modificados, nesse artigo são apresentados dois casos de patrimônio industrial: o da fábrica têxtil Rheingantz fundada na cidade do Rio Grande- RS no século XIX e ainda revisitada pela memória dos ex-operários e a Companhia Telefônica Melhoramento e Resistência, CTMR, surgida em 1919 na cidade de Pelotas-RS. Esses dois exemplos são representativos de modelos produtivos e tecnológicos que, ao serem superados, passaram a se tornar em lugares de memória e buscas de valorização patrimonial. ABSTRACT The industrial heritage: places of work, places of memory Considering the idea that industrial heritage is the expression of cultural and productive processes that have been modified, are presented in this article three industrial heritage cases: the one of Rheingantz, a textile factory founded in the city of Rio Grande-RS in the 19th century and still revisited by the memory of former workers, and the CTMR company, founded in 1919 in the city of Pelotas-RS.
